On 29th May, the PE department held an awards lunch for the pupils involved in the S1 Football team.

Our Gymnastics team took place in the SSP Gymfest competition on 25th May.

On Friday 25th May, Whitburn Academy held its annual Summer Festival.

On 17th May fifty S3 pupils and their teachers enjoyed a trip to the National Mining Museum which is based at the Lady Victoria Colliery near Edinburgh.

The Science Museum Group in partnership with Samsung attended the school on 23rd May to give a large number of pupils the opportunity to experience a 'Space Descent with Tim Peake.'

To celebrate the success of our Netball team during Session 2017/18, the team were treated to a pizza lunch and a prize giving ceremony at lunchtime on 23rd May.

On Friday 18th May, three S3 pupils attended and assisted with the fitting of banners displaying events of World War One in 1918 at Whitburn War Memorial.

The Computing Department were approached by local charity, Answer House, to see if they would be interested in creating a website for them.

In S2 Masterclass all pupils took part in the annual Mitsubishi challenge. Pupils have about 7 periods to come up with an idea, a design and a presentation of another use for a Heat Source Pump.

On Tuesday 1st May, Ross, one of our S1 pupils, was invited to the Civic Centre in Livingston to deliver a presentation about our school's reading programme.
