Opportunities for All
The Whitburn academy Opportunities for All team work closely with pupils from S1 to S6 to help develop the relevant skills and qualities to help pupils successfully transition from school to their chosen destination
Tracking And Monitoring
Throughout the school, pupils are organised into teaching sets by ability wherever possible. Pupils' potential is initially measured by National Tests and other information from the Primary schools including NFER-NELSON Standardised Tests in English and Maths.
Support for Learning
Many pupils, at some time in their school career, require short-term or long-term support in order to overcome learning barriers and reach their full potential. Our Learning Support Team at Whitburn Academy consists of a group of dedicated professionals, committed to meeting pupils' individual needs.
Employability Hub
Pupils can access a range of services for Careers Advice and Guidance and develop their career management skills.
