On 11th June, the school Library celebrated Empathy Day with a display of books about different characters telling their story.

On 10th June, our PEF Literacy Group attended the finals of the First Minister's Reaching Challenge in the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in in Glasgow.

On 7th June, the 'Fast Forward' Theatre Group visited Whitburn Academy to give a performance of their play, "Wasted" to our new S4 and S5 pupils.

On 6th June, the school held an information evening for the parents / carers of the P7 pupils from our cluster primaries, that will be joining us after the summer holidays.

Well Done to the pupils who represented Whitburn Academy at the Scottish Schools Swimming Association's Championships at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh on 5th June.

A few weeks ago, a number of pupils from Ms Watson's S1 Computing Club entered the Girls who change the World Artificial Intelligence competition.

Congratulations to Karis and Coire, from S1 and S2 respectively, who are heading to the World Gymnaestrada in Austria this summer with Astro Gymnastics Club from Livingston.

On 21st May fifty S3 pupils and their teachers enjoyed a trip to the National Mining Museum which is based at the Lady Victoria Colliery near Edinburgh.

In S2 Masterclass all pupils took part in the annual Mitsubishi challenge. Pupils have about 9 periods to come up with an idea, a design and a presentation of another use for a Heat Source Pump.
