SQA Exam Transport
The following information is for all Senior Phase pupils who get a bus to school and are sitting their SQA exams.
Applications are now open for additional school transport for pupils who have an entitlement to free school transport. This is where an SQA exam falls on a day when transport to and from school would not otherwise be provided (including local holidays and in-service days) or where an exam finishes after the normal school time.
The table below shows the SQA Exams that are affected:
| Exam Date | Exam | Time of Transport at School |
| Monday 27th April | Music (Advanced Higher) | 4pm |
| Wednesday 29th April | Media (Higher) | 3.45pm |
| Thursday 30th April | English (Advanced Higher) | 4.30pm |
| Friday 1st May | English (Higher) | 12.45pm |
| Thursday 7th May (In Service Day) | Maths (Higher) | 9 am - 12.15 pm |
| Thursday 7th May (In Service Day) | Maths (Advanced Higher) | 9 am - 1pm |
| Friday 8th May | Music Technology (National 5, Higher) | 3.30pm |
| Friday 15th May | Applications of Mathematics | 3.05pm |
| Monday 18th May (Spring Holiday) | Physical Education (Higher) | 1pm - 3.30pm |
During the Exam period school transport will still run at its normal time. Any exams due to finish within 10 minutes of normal school finishing time will be amended accordingly to fit in with school bus departures.
All students sitting exams that begin and end within the normal school time will be expected to either make use of the school transport provided or make their own arrangements to get to and from the exams they are sitting. Transport will not be provided for candidates who require extra time.
Students or their parent/carer must register for this transport during the exam period. All information and the registration form are available on the West Lothian School Transport Website: https://www.westlothian.gov.uk/examtransport (opens new window)
Applications are now open and the deadline for completion is Tuesday 24 March.
