World Book Day
Whitburn Academy celebrated World Book Day in style with both staff and S6 pupils dressing up in book themed costumes for the day.
All S1 pupils received a free book and of course, everyone has a voucher for a £1 off their next book purchase. The finals of the annual World Book Day Inter-House quizzes for pupils in S1-3 also took place, where representatives of each tutor group puzzled over some very tough book related questions. Congratulations to the winning teams - 1W1, 2D1, and 3D2. Everyone who took part received a book and an Easter Egg, and the winning teams were also presented with a trophy to display in their tutor class. Huge thanks to the school community for getting involved in our World Book Day activities.
