Parent Council
As with everything this year the Parent Council has been given unusual circumstances to navigate but the acting committee members have discussed with Ms. Loudon how we can support the school at the moment and have agreed that the best way forward is to formalise our Committee Members and agree a Constitution.

This will allow us to apply for some of the many grants available in the current climate to support the school in this way.
We plan on having an AGM on Tuesday 19th January at 6pm to vote in our Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer. All parents/carers/staff in the school are welcome to put themselves forward for these roles however the Chairperson must be a parent/carer member.
If you would like to put yourself forward for a role or would like more information on what the roles entail please email the school office at wlwhitburn-ac@westlothian.org.uk (opens new window) FAO Parent Council and an acting office bearer will be in touch with that information. Voting rights will only be given to parents/carers/staff who have attended three consecutive Parent Council Meetings. The details of the meeting will be sent out as a Groupcall and a reminder sent in January.
Please consider supporting the school in this way, meetings are held every 4-6 weeks and will be accessed virtually for the time being. Due to the nature of the virtual meetings parents/carers/staff will need to request to be included which can be done through an email to the school office again FAO Parent Council and you will receive a link to the meeting on the day before so that everyone who requests to be added can be added.
