Support for Learning Staff

ASN Coordinator - Linda Nisbet
- Responsible for managing support for pupils with specific learning difficulties;
- overseeing systems and procedures for the Support Rooms;
- ensuring that Additional Support Needs (ASN) legislation is adhered to and understood by all staff;
- overseeing the work of 2 ASN teachers and 16 PSWs; managing alternative assessment arrangements for SQA and delivering training to teachers and Pupil Support Workers.
ASN Teachers - Linda Nisbet and Anne Marie Kelly
- Responsible for identifying learning difficulties,
- undertaking screening and assessments as appropriate,
- contributing to the assessment and review of pupils' needs;
- developing, monitoring and reviewing support plans and IEPs;
- delivering appropriate forms of support;
- monitoring the learning of pupils with specific learning difficulties;
- liaising with primaries to enable early intervention;
- maintaining effective communication with other staff and the wider support team.
Pupil Support Workers
There are 16 Pupil Support Workers, who carry out a variety of duties within the school.
