Y.P.I. Finals
On 21st March, The Youth Philanthropy Initiative (Y.P.I.) finals took place in the Assembly Hall.
The finals were a fantastic display of all the hard work that has been going on with the whole S3 year group in the English department over the past 12 weeks.
6 groups made it through to the final after fighting off tough competition in the semi-finals. All groups that presented last night were passionate and at times very moving. They were a credit to all involved and should be very proud!
The finalists were as follows:
River Kids: Kayly, Kaitlyn, Emma, Joe and Olivia
Live for Life Foundation: Mara, Fiona, Eve, Melissa, Casey and Hannah
Circle West Lothian: Bethany, Johnny, Milli, John and Emma
Whitburn Community Development Trust: Adam and Kyle
Onwards Whitburn: Lucya, Emma, Millie, Melanie and Finn
River Kids: Ryan and Aaron
After a tough deliberation by the judging panel, they chose Circle West Lothian, presented by Bethany, Milli, Johnny, John and Emma as the winners. The prize was a cheque for £3000 for their charity. Congratulations to them and all the other groups involved, they are all a credit to Whitburn Academy.
