Whitburn's Bake Off Week 1
Wednesday 6th September saw round 1 of the Annual Whitburn Academy Bake off!

It was extremely good fun with staff and pupils taking part! Round 1 was the "Technical Challenge", where the contestants were required to make a Victoria Sandwich from the recipe provided by the Home Economics department. All dishes were produced to an excellent standard, with Miss Loudon having the difficult task of choosing the top three cakes!
The results from round 1 are as follows:
- 1st place: Mrs Williamson
- 2nd place: Mrs Rennie
- 3rd place: Brook
Next week is our "Signature Challenge" so we are looking forward to an intense hour or so in the kitchen! We can't wait to see the results!
