Banner Research

The pupils are gathering evidence from 1917 to provide an insight into how the local community and country was impacted by World War One during this year.   Once completed, the information gathered will be incorporated into banners, which will be created for display at Whitburn's War Memorial.

The project has been ongoing since 2014, with banners created to commemorate the centenary of the events taking place on each year of World War One.
 
The 1917 banners will hopefully be created and displayed within the next few months and will remain on display until early 2018.
