Bake Off!

 'The Great Whitburn Academy Bake Off!'

The first round took place on the 29th September with 6 S4 girls and Mr Scobie taking part in a technical challenge.   This challenge involved all the bakers using the same recipe and they were judged on the taste, texture and appearance of their bake.   The Star Baker for round 1 was Rebecca, with Mr Scobie finishing a close second and Aleisha finishing in 3rd place.

Round two was held on 5th October and was the signature challenge where bakers provided one of their own tried and tested recipes.   Cakes made in this round included Banana Loaves, chocolate chip cookies, fairy cakes and chocolate sponges.   The Star Baker for round 2 was Shania with Rebecca finishing in second place and Mr Scobie in 3rd place.

Round 3 will be held on 12th October and will the Show Stopper bake!
