Sociology
Our students are developing an awareness of Society through learning about theories and concepts that underpin our understanding of the world around us.
In the Humanities Faculty, we teach Higher Sociology in the senior phase.
Sociology encourages students to learn independently through practicing research and evaluation skills. Sociology also gives students the opportunity to develop skills in literacy, numeracy and health and well-being. Deep and creative thinking are key skills within the course which develop our students into reflective and responsible individuals who can see the significance of the part they play in society.
