Mock Court Case 2017
On 1st and 2nd November, two teams of pupils took part in the Mock Court Case trials in Edinburgh.
Our Defenders team was led by Samira and Jenna who took the role of solicitors. They ruthlessly destroyed the compensation claim and had it reduced by 75%. Andrew, who played the role of a medical witness, was praised by the Sheriff for his confident and detailed delivery.
Our Pursuers team also did well. They were lead by Elena and Andrew and gained a 50% award for damages for their client (Amy) after proving that the defender was partially negligent.
Unfortunately neither of the teams got through to the final, however it is possible that some individuals may win awards. The award winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, which is being held in the Signet Library on Wednesday 15th November.
