Our Health and Wellbeing Group has be shortlisted as a finalist for the COSLA Excellence Awards for their Be Herd project.

Whitburn Academy staff and pupils are working together to continue to build a reading culture in our school.

During Week beginning 2nd September, filming took place for our promotional video to launch our Reading Schools project in time for National Literacy Day.

On 6th September, pupils took part in National Read a Book Day

On 6th September, a number of our S6 pupils took part in buddying training to allow them to support some of our S1 pupils.

On 5th September, the pupils of Whitburn Academy voted in the Pupil Council Elections.

The Pupil Leadership Team is made up of the School Captains, House and Vice House Captains.

On 22nd August, Some of our senior pupils visited the Edinburgh International Book Festival this week to hear Scottish writer Doug Johnstone talk about his latest book 'Breakers'.

On 25th June, pupils from one of our S3 Home Economics classes put on a lunch for all members of staff.
