Careers Advice

Skills Development Scotland provide careers information, advice and guidance, and work-based training programmes aimed at building the career management skills that will enable pupils to thrive in a changing economy.

Skills Development Scotland forge strong relationships between enterprise and the providers of education and training. This includes championing the wide range of pathways into work, ensuring each route is recognised and valued, while supporting inclusion and diversity in fair and productive workplaces.

They are committed to providing greater support to school pupils earlier to help them on the path to sustainable and rewarding careers.

If you would like to speak to a Skills Development Scotland Careers advisor, you can:

  • call the Livingston contact centre by telephone on  01506 434249 (opening hours: Monday 9.45am - 5pm and Tuesday - Friday 9am - 5pm)

  • Arrange an individual appointment with our in school SDS Careers Advisor, Gordon Hunter.   An appointment can be arranged via your House Team.
