Whitburn's Defibrillator
In recent weeks, a defibrillator has been installed in a disused telephone box at Whitburn Cross.
Pupils from Whitburn Academy designed the logo, which is placed on all four sides of the telephone box. The Charity Committee made a donation to the local community to allow them to purchase the vynal material, which covers the outside of the box and on which the logo is printed.
On 27th June, members of the Charity Committee paid a visit to the telephone box to see the completed design and the defibrillator inside the box.
The defibrillator is located at Whitburn Cross outside the former Royal Bank of Scotland building and it's positioning in the heart of the community allows easy access to it if and when required, which can potentially save lives.
