Shoebox Appeal
Before the October Holidays, Whitburn Academy held a Dress Down Day in aid of the Blythswood Shoebox Appeal.
03 November
Instead of pupils and staff paying to dress down, they were asked to bring in an item to help to fill shoeboxes with gifts, treats and essential items.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our school community, the S6 Charity Committee were able to fill 53 shoeboxes with gifts, treats and essential items. The filled shoeboxes will be delivered by Blythswood Care to children living in poverty across Eastern Europe, helping to bring some joy at Christmas to those who need it most.
Many thanks to everyone who supported us.
