Dress Down Day
Our S6 Community and Charity Committee have organised a dress down day for Friday 16th October.
Rather than paying to dress down, we ask that pupils and staff bring in an item to support our Christmas Shoebox appeal in aid of Blythswood Care. The items brought in will be used to fill up shoeboxes with some gifts and essentials, which will then be sent to Blythswood Care, who will distribute them to vulnerable children in Eastern Europe.
To ensure that we do not have too many of the same item, the committee have produced a list of items that they are looking for and have assigned these items to each individual tutor class. It is essential that all items are new, in their original packaging and are able to fit into a shoebox.
The short video in the following link shows what a difference a shoe box can make to a child this Christmas: Shoebox Appeal 2026 video (opens new window)
A list of items required per tutor group can be found in the following document: Dress Down day for Blythswood Shoebox Appeal 2026 (PDF, 1000 KB)(opens new window) or listed below:

- 16th October is still a normal school day and pupils should still bring all the materials that they need for normal lessons with them.
