Shoebox Appeal Thank You!
Whitburn Academy's recent dress down day organised by our S6 Community Committee was a huge success.

In return for not having to wear school uniform, pupils donated a variety of items to support Blythswood Care's Shoebox Appeal and we were able to fill 57 individual shoeboxes to give a child a gift this Christmas.
The boxes are filled with small things we take for granted such as shampoo, a toothbrush, a pair of socks, sweets, a wee toy etc, and these will mean so much to children living in poverty. Our boxes will be distributed to vulnerable children living in Ukraine, Albania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kosovo, Moldova, Romania and Serbia.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported our appeal.
