Longridge Transition
During week beginning 16th March, the Primary 6/7 class from Longridge Primary School visited the Academy for their transition week.
They began the week with a visit to Science, where they helped to solve the mystery of the missing plant, then onto music, where they learned to play 'I Gotta Feeling' on the Keyboard. Tuesday began with a Spanish 'Murder Mystery' followed by a visit to Drama, where they acted out the plot of a film from it's theme tune. They finished the day with a visit to PE for some Gymnastics.
Wednesday began with another visit to PE, this time to do some basketball skills, this was followed with an Internet Safety lesson. Thursday began with a visit to DMG, where they designed keyrings, this was quickly followed by a visit to Art, where they drew a self portrait of themselves. The final lesson on Thursday was Home Economics, where they made mini pizzas.
On Friday they visited Computing, where they investigated 'Who Shot Mr Burns' and had a shot of the Arcade Machine. They ended their week with a film show of some of the photos and videos from their visit.
