Creative Industries
These courses are aimed at those who want to explore a potential career in the creative industries. They are ideally suited to a wide range of creative contexts allowing students to pick the potential industry that interests them most.
This is an introductory qualification which develops the knowledge and skills required for employment or further study in the creative industries. Examples of this are, Theatre, Sound Production, Gaming, Animation and Fashion. The Course covers: an Introduction to the Creative Industries, where you will decide your focus. Creative Industries Skills Development, where you will develop practical skills in a chosen area.
The Creative Process, and a Creative Project, where you will propose a final project such as an exhibition, cat walk show, CD production, magazine production etc and then in a small group complete the project proposed. As you work through the Course, you will gain an awareness of the opportunities and jobs in the different sectors and you will develop transferable employability skills.
