Paired Reading
As part of our efforts to improve the learning experience and attainment of pupils, the paired reading programme is well underway in the Academy.

S6 volunteers support their S1 buddy with reading in the library every morning during tutor time except their assembly day until the end of first term. This is an opportunity for S1 pupils to read a range of different fiction and non-fiction stories, supported by an S6 pupil.
The programme is designed to enhance pupils reading skills and their engagement with books. Most importantly we hope they enjoy the experience.
