STEM Subjects

many people struggle to name more than one person and is it usually someone male, such as Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking or Brian Cox, but many women have made significant contributions to STEM subjects.

In November, Mrs Considine launched a competition to encourage pupils to find out about some women who have made important contributions to STEM subjects. Pupils were asked to match the names of 20 women with the STEM fields they are associated with.  Lots of pupils entered the completion. Winning entry was drawn at random by Mr Bulloch.

Congratulations to the winner, Nikki, one of our S3 Pupils, who received a copy of the book "Period Tales - the curious life of the elements".
