Creative Design Technology
The department offers Engineering Science, Graphic Communication and Practical CDT/ Woodwork . In the 21st Century the impact of these subjects is all around us in the products and materials of modern life.
S1 -S2 Creative Design Technology
The First and Second year course involves a broad introduction to the two subjects covered by the department. The topics covered will include:
- Freehand sketching
- Manual technical drawing
- Computer Aided Drawing (CAD)
- 3D modelling
- Desktop Publishing
- The design process
- Knowledge of tools, materials and processes
- Modern manufacturing techniques- laser cutter and CNC router.
