Faculties and Support

The skills developed in the Expressive Arts Faculty are fundamental to achieving success in life. All the departments within the faculty promote and encourage the skills of determination, communication, planning and creativity.

The Health Faculty consists of the Home Economics and Physical Education departments.

The Languages Faculty allows pupils to look further into the English language and develop a number of skills that will help them in later life as well as finding out more about the works of authors and poets both past and present.

Everyone needs to be numerate to maximise their life chances and to make a positive contribution to society.

Humanities look at every aspect of our society and inspire young people to become confident individuals, successful learners, responsible citizens and effective contributors.

The S.T.E.M faculty consists of the Craft and Design Technology (C.D.T) and Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) departments.

Whitburn Academy provides a variety of different kinds of support for it's pupils.
